6/1/2021: Sudan Tribune - Sudan repulses two fresh attacks by Ethiopian forces

Sudan Tribune report that the Sudanese army repulsed two attacks carried out by Ethiopian forces and managed to capture one of the attackers, in the latest military confrontations between the two countries.

The new attack reportedly took place in the Sariba border area of the Grand Fashaga which is adjacent to Ethiopia’s Tigray Region.

Sudan Tribune’s military source ruled out that the attack had been carried out by militiamen due to the heavy weapons used by the assailants. The Sudanese officer added that their troops captured an Ethiopian army soldier with a Goryunov heavy machine gun.
