6/1/2023: Sudan Tribune - What means Sudanese army’s short statement on military commentators?

Sudan Tribune report that Sudan’s official military spokesman issued a brief statements saying that the opinions made by “analysts and experts” on TV channels did not reflect the position of the army.

Sudan Tribune’s military sources said that former officers affiliated with Islamists tried to push the army to grip to power, with retired Brigadier General Khalid Mohamed Obaidallah Fadl al-Seeid saying that there were military voices hostile to the framework agreement. 

A month before the December 2022 agreement was signed, the commander-in-chief of the Sudanese army, Abdulfattah al-Burhan accused Islamists of fomenting a coup.
