1/3/2020: Sudan Tribune - Sudan removes diplomats linked to al-Bashir regime

 Sudan Tribune reports that the Empowerment Removal Committee – tasked with dismantling the “old guard of al-Bashir’s regime” - dismissed 50 ambassadors and other diplomats, in line with its mandate to purge the civil service.

 Committee co-chairman and Sovereign Council spokesman Mohammed al-Faki said the decision aims to "eliminate the empowerment of the former regime in the foreign ministry,” which “suffered from the interference of the former regime who dealt with it as booty because of its prestigious jobs."
