SUDAN NEWS ALERT: The National UAE - Hamdok warns more people could die from 'starvation than bullets' in Sudan
The National (UAE) report that former Sudan prime minister Abdalla Hamdok dismissed reports about the UAE having a nefarious role in Sudan, amid allegations of its support for the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
Responding to a question about the UAE’s role, he said “the UAE has always been supportive of Sudan, and there is a lot of links and ties in the history”.
Hamdok spoke at length of how the Sudanese community has grown in the UAE and sees the country as a “force for good in Sudan”.
