23/7/19: Sudan Tribune - Sudan protesters group says Addis Ababa meetings discuss peace not jobs
Sudan Tribune reports that the Sudanese Professionals Association said that the consultations with rebel groups in Addis Ababa are aimed at arranging a comprehensive peace process during the transitional period, stressing that it does not intend to discuss allocation of ministerial posts.
3 armed movements within the Freedom of Forces and Change, the Justice and Equality Movement, Sudan Liberation Movement and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North had initially rejected the FFC’s political parties’ power-sharing agreement with the military as it fails to address “the issues of the revolution" and "ignored important parties and issues."
It has been reported that the three movements – which form the Sudanese Revolutionary Front – have demanded that they are granted seats in the sovereign council and that they are allocated 35% of seats in the transitional government.
The SPA stressed that the transitional government should be formed by "patriotic and qualified people."
