3/12/2019: Radio Dabanga - Yasir Arman: ‘Rebel delegation not in Khartoum to negotiate’
Radio Dabanga reports that delegations from the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N) led by Yasir Arman arrived in Khartoum upon invitation from the Sudanese government, despite criticisms from other senior Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF) leaders that their respective movements were not consulted.
SRF leaders Minni Minawi, head of the Sudan Liberation Movement, Jibril Ibrahim, leader of the Justice and Equality Movement, and El Amin Daoud, head of the eastern Sudanese United Popular Front for Liberation and Justice had issued a statement that the SRF had not sent a delegation to negotiate with the government on peace matter
However, the SPLM-N’s Yasir Arman, said the delegation he is leading has not arrived to negotiate, “but to push forward the spirit of partnership with the transitional government to reach a just, comprehensive and urgent peace.”
