15/12/2019: Radio Dabanga - Sudan peace talks: Four disputed issues

Radio Dabanga reports on intensive talks between the Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF) rebel alliance and representatives of the Forces for Freedom and Change (FFC)on how the FFC can participate in the negotiations in Juba.

SRF Chairman El Hadi Idris told Radio Dabanga that four fundamental disputed issues are under discussion:

Firstly, the postponement of the appointment of state governors until after a peace agreement is reached.

Secondly, the postponement of the formation of the Legislative Council

Third, the suspension of the appointment of civil service employees

And finally, the amendment of the Constitutional Document to ensure that any peace agreements prevail over the charter.
